‘1000-lb Sisters’ Returns to TLC in April 2025

Amy Slaton is ‘scared sh*tless’ following her arrest at a Tennessee safari park, she says in the teaser for the new season.

The Slaton sisters are back! A new season of 1000-lb Sisters premieres Tuesday, April 15 on TLC.

The fresh episodes of the TLC reality show will cover some of the recent drama in Tammy and Amy Slaton’s lives, including last summer’s camel-bite incident that landed Amy in jail.

Amy Slaton recalls camel-bite incident that led to her arrest

“It was just supposed to be a fun family day, and it turned out to be the worst day of our lives,” Amy says of the trip to a Tennessee safari park that turned into a tabloid nightmare.

While visiting the park, a camel bit Amy, as seen in a teaser for the new season (via YouTube). But that wasn’t the most shocking event that day.

“After the whole camel-bite incident, the cops came in and started reading me my rights,” Amy – who was arrested after cops found evidence of marijuana in her car – recalls. “They should be handcuffing the damn camel.”

Amy thinks the camel is the problem, but her family is worried about her behavior, including her new hot-and-heavy romance with a guy who’s already urging her to get her tubes untied so they can have a baby. Her sister Amanda Halterman isn’t impressed.

“She should go have a cold shower,” she says.

Later, Amanda and her siblings stage an intervention with Amy, whose behavior they fear is out of control. Amy doesn’t take it well.

“The problem is, every time somebody wants to talk to you, you want to jump up and storm off,” a frustrated Amanda replies.

Will the threat of serious time behind bars be enough to scare Amy straight?

“I’m scared sh*tless,” she says as we see her prepare to go before a judge. “I just hope I don’t ruin my whole life.”

Tammy Slaton has ‘more insecurities’ than ever over her loose skin

Meanwhile, Tammy is dealing with challenges of her own. Thanks to her successful weight-loss surgery, she can enjoy activities that were off-limits before, such as zip lining. But she’s not entirely happy with her appearance.

“I’ve come so far in my weight loss journey, but now I have even more insecurities about my body because I have so much loose skin,” she says.

Plus, Tammy is keeping a big secret from her family – one which could cause quite a stir once it comes out, she hints.

“There’s something I haven’t told my family,” she says. “Because my family gonna have something to say about it.”

1000-lb Sisters airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC beginning April 15.
