Emma Johnston Wrote About Someone Who Was ‘Gone Too Soon’ & Would ‘Forever Be In Our Hearts’
Emma and her family became known to audiences through the TLC reality series, 7 Little Johnstons. Starting in 2015, the series revolves around the titular family of seven, who live with dwarfism. In addition to watching the Johnston family on the show, fans have also followed the family on social media. Recently, Emma shared an emotional post with her followers, concerning the loss of a loved one.

Taking to social media, Emma mourned the loss of someone dear to her over the past year. As she wrote, “One year ago…Not just me but the entire world got to witness this beautiful smile. You are gone too soon but not in our hearts. Forever be in our hearts.” In the post, Emma shared a video of her and her friend, reality show producer Tegan Zoephel. The two could be seen smiling while shooting a video alongside a deer.
Zoephel had worked with 7 Little Johnstons, first starting in 2021. She also worked on various shorts as a production designer, Behind the Scenes, Spare Parts, and Ghost Light. According to her obituary, Tegan “passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 9, 2024, in Georgia.” She was 24 at the time of her death.

A native of Aurora, Illinois, Tegan was a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2021. She was noted to be a member of the Producers Guild of America. Tegan was described as having a “passion for creativity led her to a career in television.” As her obituary continued, “Family meant everything to Tegan; she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether gathered together playing games and laughing or traveling both to new locations or family favorite spots, time with family filled her heart with joy.”
With Emma’s recent post, many fans continued to share their condolences and honor Tegan’s life. A few offered their prayers and shared some of their own experiences with grief. Some comments included:
