Sister Wives will reportedly return for season 21, according to one of the show’s stars. Mykelti Brown Padron – who is the daughter of Christine Brown and Kody Brown – dropped the spoiler during a recent appearance on the Cults to Consciousness podcast.
The 29-year-old mom of three revealed that her time on the show was likely over. But new episodes are still in the works.
“I have not been asked to film in about a year. I haven’t told them no, but they have not requested me,” she said, explaining that the show’s new producer preferred to focus on Kody and his original four wives.
“They’re still filming,” she continued. “Season 21 is probably going to come out this fall.”

However, it’s not clear if all of the core Sister Wives cast will be back for the new season, which has not yet been confirmed by TLC. Last year, Janelle Brown strongly hinted that she’d quit the family’s reality series.
“I used to think I’d ‘broken’ at certain points in my life,” she shared in a December 2025 Instagram update. “Leaving the show… leaving a marriage… starting over at an age where everyone expects you to have it all figured out. I kept looking at the pieces and thinking something must be wrong with me.”
A few day earlier, Janelle had opened up about how she never felt like she was her true self on Sister Wives.
“I was thinking about this earlier today, just doing normal life stuff, and it hit me again how strange it is to have people ‘know’ your story without ever really knowing you,” she wrote on Instagram.
“For so long I felt like I was running to catch up with the version of me the world created… the strong one, the steady one, the one who didn’t bend even when things were heavy,” she continued. “But there were so many pieces of me that never made it onto a screen and now, in this quieter chapter, I’m realizing how good it feels to finally share from my heart instead of a storyline.”
