‘Bringing Up Bates‘: Josie Bates Shares Creative Way To Make Their Roadtrip Fun
Josie recently took to IG to document their long road trip to South Dakota. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she decided to stop at every cool place they ran into, taking away all the boredom of the long ride. She wrote, “Roadtrip.. but hit all the cool stops along the way and make it an experience 🤭🚘🍔🐐🏜️🥾⛺️.”
Josie also brought toys for her kids to keep them occupied. Some fans were impressed by how prepared Josie was for their trip. After an hour, they decided to take another stop to feed the kids. Josie Faces Backlash For Dangerous Move On Kids
Some Bringing Up Bates fans on social media are calling out Josie following her latest IG Stories, featuring their camping day. Josie proudly shared moments from their family camping. But what caught many people’s attention was when she revealed that her kids had a separate tent from her and Kelton. This leaves them vulnerable to wild animals or even a kidnapper. Another discussion thread also slammed her for leaving the kids in their tent while it was storming.

- “maybe I’ve watched to many movies 🤣.. but I legit could never, not with how this world is today. heck I don’t let my 5 yr old play in the backyard without someone. not after athena was kidnapped by the amazon driver.”
- “Yeah, I would never either. I have just started being more relaxed with my almost 10 year old. But I am an 80s baby and had a lot of free range. In this set up, I’d actually be more worried about the environment than them being kidnapped. Like what if one of the kids tried to leave the tent and got hurt?”
- “I’m in Australia- honestly it’s pretty safe here. But I could never. I have to sleep in the same tent as my kiddos.”
- “She put the girls in a separate tent away from her and hubs while its storming. why would you leave your 2 young girls alone. what if they have to go the BR. What the flip.”
- “That’s crazy!!! I’ve been camping twice now with my boys and there’s NO way I would sleep in a separate tent from them!!!!!”
