Meri Brown is making some big life changes, and Sister Wives fans are in for a surprise. After years of managing Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, the bed and breakfast she inherited from her late mother, Meri is admitting that the business was never truly her dream. Instead, she’s setting her sights on something new – finding love again.
With the Sister Wives star in a legal battle with Kody Brown over Coyote Pass, 2025 looks to be a year of reinvention for Meri. She’s also figuring out her future.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown Admits Running Lizzie’s Heritage Inn Was Never Her Dream
In the February 2 episode of Sister Wives, Meri Brown has a heart-to-heart conversation with her best friend Jenn Sullivan about her future. During their talk, Meri makes a shocking confession—she never actually wanted to run the B&B in the first place.
“It just made sense,” she explains. “Having the house was my dream.”
Meri Brown inherited Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, located in Parowan, Utah, after the passing of her mother, Bonnie Ahlstrom, in 2021. While the business had sentimental value, it wasn’t something she was truly passionate about.
Last August, Meri Brown closed the inn for renovations. It reopened briefly for haunted Halloween tours in October. As of February 3, it is still not taking reservations.
Now, she’s trying to figure out what to do next. She even considers turning the property into an event space, allowing visitors to experience the historic home in a new way.
“I want people to experience the home,” she tells Jenn.
Sullivan supports the idea, adding, “Make memories at Lizzie’s Heritage Inn.”
But what about Meri’s next big dream? That’s where things get really interesting.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown Is Ready to Find Love Again
When Jenn asks Meri what’s next for her, Meri doesn’t hesitate.
“I don’t know, I need to find a man,” she says with a laugh.
“A dreamy man,” Sullivan adds.
Meri agrees, making it clear she’s done being single and is open to finding a new relationship.
In a confessional, she confirms that she has no interest in staying single forever and is actively thinking about her future love life.
As Jenn jokes, “Got plenty of rooms though. You could have a man for every room.”
Meri laughs off the comment. But, her reply hints she’s considering a new partner.
However, she’s still unsure about her next steps with the inn. “I don’t know that I want to move into the house and have it be my house because I don’t know that it’s going to be my house,” she admits. “Just depends on the man that I find, I guess, and what we decide to do together.”
Sister Wives: Meri’s Legal Battle with Kody Brown Over Coyote Pass Heats Up
Meri Brown’s personal and professional life isn’t the only thing in transition. She’s also taking legal action against Kody Brown regarding her share of Coyote Pass, the family’s property in Flagstaff, Arizona.
In last week’s episode, Meri revealed that she has officially hired a lawyer to help her get her fair share of the land.
“There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the way things have been done in the family,” she says. “The way that Kody is with me and has been with me for many, many years. So I think that’s why I’m going to get a lawyer to help me through this process.”
For years, Kody has downplayed Meri’s financial contributions, even claiming that she didn’t need as much land because she only had one child. Now, she’s fighting back to ensure she gets what she’s owed.
Sister Wives: What’s Next for Meri Brown?
With so many changes happening at once, it’s clear that Meri is finally prioritizing herself.
She’s stepping away from running Lizzie’s Heritage Inn full-time
She’s open to a new relationship
She’s fighting for her share of Coyote Pass
This is a whole new Meri Brown – one who isn’t letting the past hold her back.
As she plans her career and love life, one thing is clear: Meri wants to build a future on her own terms – without Kody Brown calling the shots.
And as she put it best, “I will push the issue now.”
