Sister Wives: Robyn Brown’s Doll Infatuation – More Than Just A Hobby?

The paintings, which fans deemed “tacky” reportedly sold for thousands of dollars each. But now, a secret about another of Robyn’s hidden extravagances emerges. A new report about the Sister Wives star Robyn Brown causes quite a stir online. She reportedly spent at least $62K purchasing dolls and accessories from Etsy.

That is only one website she used for these purchases, and fans assume there is likely more. So, you might think this is one over-the-top hobby. But, the viewers think it is more than a hobby after a scene rolled out with Robyn Brown and a doll. And a very embarrassed-looking Kody Brown was also in that scene.

Robyn Lives Vicariously Through Her Dolls?

Sister Wives fans saw the story forming in the many reviews about her doll purchases on Etsy. In those reviews. Kody’s fourth wife comes across as excited when one of her dolls gets a new boyfriend. She also talks about dressing her dolls and sitting them in doll-size chairs.

Many Sister Wives fans commented about Robyn’s reviews. They suggest the way she writes about her dolls seems rather odd. She sets them in different scenes, which she goes overboard describing. Fans suggest this mother of five writes as if these dolls are alive.

She also refers to her dolls as therapy. This doll collector also purchased a sign saying so. The sign she bought reads, “Dolls Are My Therapy”. Reports indicate since 2022 she has made over 500 purchases of dolls and accessories, like doll clothes and doll-size furniture. But that is just on Etsy.

Fans were disgusted when learning how much money she spent on dolls. After all, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown needed to get lawyers to recoup their share of the finances from Coyote Pass.

Sister Wives: Is Kody Brown Embarrassed By His Wife’s Doll Obsession?

Sister Wives fans immediately brought up a strange scene from an episode that showed Robyn with a doll. An Instagram post describes the scene as “Kody wanted to hide Robyn’s doll fetish”. The scene from several seasons back had Robyn Brown holding a baby doll as if it were a real infant.

Christine Brown was there. She piped up and asked Robyn if that was her baby, in a joking matter of course. Robyn said yes, which seemed to unsettle Kody, who then told her to put the doll down.

Sister Wives fans now believe Kody was trying to hide Robyn’s obsession with dolls. Another fan joked that perhaps Robyn’s knocking rule, described in the video below, may have something to do with her not wanting to get caught playing with dolls.

A Reddit commenter reminds us how Robyn Brown refers to her dolls on Sister Wives. She mentioned the dollhouse her father made for her. She also mentioned how she has a doll furniture collection dating back to when her daughter, Breanna Brown, was born. That would be 20 years ago.

So, Sister Wives fans assume the total of her Etsy orders is just part of the expense of her doll collection. Many chime in to bet the farm there are more purchases elsewhere.

They suggest she likely also shopped either online or at some brick-and-mortar stores. But, Robyn Brown left so many reviews on her purchases that her extravagant spending was easily tracked and tallied up to that $62K on Etsy. That is how the report was compiled of the TLC series exposed her over-the-top spending on dolls.
