Late Sister Wives star Robert Garrison Brown was remembered by his family in emotional tributes on the one-year anniversary of his tragic death.
Garrison’s mom, Janelle Brown, was the first to take to Instagram with a post honoring her son, who died by suicide at 25 years old on March 5, 2024. She shared a throwback photo of the Nevada National Guard member holding his cat and added the quote, “To the stars, Bowen, to the stars” — a line from the 1996 movie Dragonheart.
“I stay busy but in EVERY quiet moment you are first and foremost in my thoughts. It’s been a year baby. We miss you so much. I miss you so much,” Janelle added in the caption.
Sister Wives star Christine Brown also shared a social media tribute to Garrison, as did his siblings Paedon Brown, Maddie Brush (née Brown), Leon Brown and Savanah Brown.
In Janelle’s tribute to Garrison, she shared a quote from the 1996 film Dragonheart, which the Taeda Farms cofounder has said was one of her late son’s favorite movies. The quote, “To the stars, Bowen, to the stars,” has a special meaning, as it describes the moment when a character’s spirit ascends to space and becomes a constellation.
Additionally, Janelle wrote about how often she thinks of Garrison and encouraged fans to “consider making a donation to your local animal shelter, rescue, or humane society” because it was a cause near and dear to her son’s heart.
“He adopted all three of his cats from shelters,” she added.
Janelle concluded by sharing a reminder for anyone who is struggling right now.
“If you are in crisis, please call, text or chat with the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988, or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741,” she wrote.

“I found a video of Garrison helping me move and watched it so many times. My heart aches without him and every photo, video, memory, joke, story with him in it is infinitely more precious than ever,” she wrote in the caption. “Gosh, I miss him. I can’t believe he’s been dead for a year.”

In the quiet moments between the noise of life, I think of you often. I hope and pray you’ve found peace, rest, and the comfort that eluded you here. Until we meet again, little brother.”
