In 2023, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar gave up custody of Tyler. According to reports, the Counting On alums sent Tyler to his grandparents, John Martin Hutchins and Carolyn Jeanette Hutchins. In February 2021, Jim Bob brought his family out along with Tyler to celebrate his 13th birthday. He has also hung out with James and the other Duggar boys, driving ATVs and playing different games on the property. It was also revealed that he’s been healthy. But his grandparents also said that he needs continued guardianship because he’s still an “incapacitated person” at his age.
Regardless, it’s clear that Tyler is still under the loving care of his grandparents.
