It’s been a difficult season for the Bates family, especially for Mama Jane. Last month, Papa Bill passed away while he was in hospice care. Papa Bill was suffering from dementia before he passed. He forgets his grandkids whenever they visit, resulting in them having to introduce themselves again. At the same time, Mama Jane was undergoing cancer treatment. Lawson previously released a vlog where he revealed that he’s one of the kids who brings Mama Jane to the hospital for her cancer treatment sessions. The Bringing Up Bates star revealed that the treatment is taking a toll on Mama Jane’s body. She even asks for prayers amid her hard battle.
Kelly Jo Shares Major Updates On Mama Jane’s Cancer Battle
Kelly Jo Bates recently took to IG to share updates about Mama Jane’s cancer treatment. According to Kelly Jo, they are thankful that Mama Jane has finally completed her final radiation treatment. Kelly Jo shared photos of Mama Jane in a wheelchair, showing that she’s still weak after the treatment. Kelly Jo added that she’s been thankful for all the prayers and messages they’ve been receiving.
The Bringing Up Bates star also said that Mama Jane’s completion of her cancer treatment marks the third week since Papa Bill’s passing. Mama Jane was also emotional as she got to celebrate the end of her treatment without her husband. Kelly Jo continued, ” Though there’s an emptiness in all of our hearts without him, we also recognize God’s overwhelming goodness in the midst of our storms. So we want to publicly thank Him for His loving care! ❤️”
Bringing Up Bates: The Bates Kids Becoming More Present At Mama Jane’s House
The Bates kids have been taking turns visiting in South Carolina, even before Papa Bill passed away. However, the Bates children are becoming more present in South Carolina today. Recently, Michaela shared photos from her visit to Mama Jane. She was also emotional that she finally got to foster two kids, but it happened just days after Papa Bill died. Katie and Alyssa have also taken turns bringing their kids to their great-grandmother. It’s unclear who will stay in South Carolina to check on Mama Jane, but some Bringing Up Bates fans suggest Gil and Kelly Jo take Mama Jane to their Tennessee home.
