As Little People Big World fans have seen, Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler were part of each other’s lives for many years. They worked together on Roloff Farms before their relationship eventually grew into something more. Before the TLC show was canceled after Season 25, cameras even showed Caryn flaunting her engagement ring and more.
The Little People Big World pair initially planned for a Hawaiian wedding in 2024. This was ultimately put on hold so that Matt could focus on taking care of his mother as she got older. Based on recent updates making the rounds, however, not only will there no longer be a Hawaiian wedding for these two, but Matt and Caryn are officially over as a couple, too.

Taking to social media to break the split news to his many followers, Matt Roloff said he and Caryn decided to “part ways” and, ultimately, end their engagement. Matt went on to call this decision “the right step for us at this time.” In his words, the split is “amicable,” and he also thanked his many Little People Big World followers for their continued support during this difficult time.
Many Little People Big World viewers were not fans of this relationship. However, with how long Matt and Caryn had been an item, most people did not expect it to end in this manner, either.
Little People Big World Insider Reveals Real Reason Behind Split
While Matt Roloff recently painted a picture online like this split from Caryn Chandler is mutual, according to a recent Little People Big World insider, they are telling a completely different story. Speaking with The US Sun about the situation, an insider recently said, “The split was instigated by Caryn, but publicly, they are saying it was mutual after having issues for a while. It’s a really difficult time for them both, and there will be a lot they have to figure out in the coming weeks and months.”
The insider went on to add, “They had been talking about the wedding for so long, it was pushed back more than once, but they still hadn’t set a date.” In the aftermath of this split, the insider said, “The family has been blindsided. They did not see this coming.”
