The ‘Counting On’ star and her husband, Ben Seewald, finally formally introduced their newest addition. Jessa Duggar finally revealed the gender of baby No. 6 with her husband, Ben Seewald. On Friday, Aug. 8, the former Counting On star took to Instagram to direct followers to her YouTube channel, where she made the big announcement.
In Part 3 of her birth story for their sixth child, Duggar shared that they welcomed a baby boy. They still hadn’t decided on a name for their newest son by the end of part three of their birth story and encouraged followers to tune in soon to learn the moniker.

On Aug. 4, Duggar announced the arrival via YouTube of her newest baby, born on July 26 weighing 10 pounds even and measuring 21.5 inches long. The baby joins five older siblings: three brothers, Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, and George, 1, and two sisters, Ivy, 5, and Fern, 3.
Jessa is now reflecting on everything that happened during the birth of her sixth child and is sharing the details with her Duggar News fans. She revealed in one of her YouTube videos that her husband, Ben, wasn’t interested in cutting the umbilical cord of their child at all. The celeb stated, “Teasing him mostly because I know he has a very weak stomach for such things.”
Jessa explained how Ben had a “weak stomach” when it came to such things. Hence, even after having six kids in a row, he didn’t take the initiative to cut the cord. Ben simply said ‘No, thank you,’ and made it clear that he wasn’t going to do it at all. This is when Jessa decided to ask her younger sister, Jordyn, to do the honors.
Jessa explained, “My sister, Jordyn, this was her first time to be at one of my births.” She revealed that her sister was really “excited” about it, and she got the cord cut as well. The celeb felt that it was a “sweet moment,” as Jordyn stated that the experience was really “cool” and “awesome.” Besides all of this, Ben was actively involved during the delivery and made sure that Jessa was fine.
But that’s not all. Jessa further revealed that her mother was also present during the entire labor phase. She added, “She was there with me every step of the way, helping me, supporting me, coaching me.” Hence, it seems that things were fine, and Jessa and her baby are fine now.
The birth of Ben and Jessa’s baby marks Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar‘s 39th grandchild. Congrats, again, to the new parents of six!
