It has been a hard time for Counting On alum Jinger Duggar Vuolo, as she is the mother of three children. Alongside her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, they have Felicity, Evangeline, and Finnegan, whom they absolutely adore. Their family keeps growing by leaps and bounds with the addition of new cousins, keeping the Duggar tradition alive. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have nineteen living children, and many have grown into successful adults with their own families. Sadly, Jinger just went through a terrifying experience with her eldest child, Felicity, 7. The tot started to experience horrific ear pain as they enjoyed a wedding together.

They wondered what was going on as Felicity is a very social child. She had also been dancing like crazy at the wedding, which Jinger and Jeremy had hosted. That was when she told her parents she was in “excruciating” pain. Furthermore, she wanted to head to bed at 830 pm, which was abnormal for Felicity, who loves to stay awake and have fun with everyone. So, it was very alarming that she wanted to go to bed so early, even with people around her. Jinger further explained the situation from that night:

“So when she goes to lay down, she can’t lay down because it’s hurting so bad. And she was in so much pain. So I was like, okay, this is time for pain meds. So I had a bottle of kids’ chewable ibuprofen. So I gave her two tablets, which is her dose. And she took that, and I waited.”

It was then that the former Counting On star realized this was far more serious. Jinger rarely gave the kids pain medication, so that was a big deal to begin with. Soon enough, she was looking around the wedding for a doctor, but no one was there. That led Jinger and Jeremy to head to the emergency room, thanks to some Internet advice.

The End Result

After Felicity was taken to the emergency room by her Counting On parents, her eardrum popped, and she claimed she felt better. The doctors still wanted to treat her for an ear infection, but Jinger Duggar Vuolo was unsure about antibiotics. She did not want to ruin her daughter’s gut health, but also knew this could help her feel better. Jinger ultimately stayed away from them but took advice from Audrey Roloff on a more natural approach. Felicity is thriving, which is amazing news.
