Travis Clark, husband of Bringing Up Bates star Katie Bates, made an official statement about the rumors that he cheated on Katie. Fans have been wondering for a long time if Travis has been cheating on Katie. When Travis started nursing school, the rumors started to spread. Just hours after Travis admitted to an extramarital affair via Instagram, Lawson posted an Instagram Reel which many fans took as his response to the situation.
Lawson Bates sent out a strange message
In the clip, Lawson films himself working out by lifting weights. Text over the video reads, “One day, someone might tell your kids … ‘You’re just like your dad.’” The text then changed to, “Make sure it’s a compliment, not an insult.”
Lawson captioned the post with a Bible verse which reads, “Young men exhort to be sober minded. In all things showing a pattern of good works: in doctrine show incorruptness, gravity, sincerity, and sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.”
Lawson, who shares two sons with his wife Tiffany Bates, also cited a Bible verse from Titus 2:6-8 in his social media caption. “Young men exhort to be sober minded. In all things showing a pattern of good works,” the quote read. “In doctrine show incorruptness, gravity, sincerity, and sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.”
Lawson didn’t say what inspired his post or what it meant, but he posted it soon after Clark admitted to cheating on his wife.

Lawson appeared to make another statement on Sunday, Jan. 18, when he posted a photo of himself and his wife with Katie in the hospital after Teddy’s birth last month on his Instagram Story.
“@kgbates2000, I still can’t believe you dropped everything at a moment’s notice to come be with us and help document this huge life moment. It meant the world,” he wrote over the photo. “You’re one of the kindest and most genuine people I know. We love you and are always here for you.”
