‘Bringing Up Bates’ Zach and Whitney’s Daughter Suffers Scary Injury

Zach and Whitney Bates’ youngest may be pushing herself to roll with the big kids too fast.

On Wednesday, the Bringing Up Bates star, 36, shared a photo of his daughter Lily Jo sporting a pink arm cast to his Instagram Stories. Bates explained how the 18-month-old ended up with the injury with text over the photo.

“So Lily has been getting more brave, trying to be like the big kids, and loves to climb up on a stool to try to get things off the counter,” he wrote over the picture. “She was a little too brave and ended up falling and breaking her arm 🥺 the doctor said it should be healing pretty quickly but I just think her little cast looks so pitiful 😭.”‘

“Khloe went to the doctor with her and helped pick out her pink cast. It doesn’t seem to be slowing her down at all and she is still living life at 100 miles an hour 🤪,” he continued. “The big kids have pampered her nonstop and these next few weeks will definitely be interesting!”

The couple — who also share daughters Khloé Eileen, 5, and Kaci Lynn, 8, and sons Jadon Carl, 3, and Bradley Gilvin, 10 — welcomed Lily Jo in August 2023. The couple revealed the exciting news with a joint Instagram post on Instagram. “Lily Jo Bates 💫 August 15, 2023 6 lb 12 Ounces 19.25 Inches,” the couple shared. “We are so in love 💕”

The Bringing Up Bates alums announced on Thursday, Sept. 25 that Whitney is pregnant and expecting her sixth baby with her husband Zach Bates. The couple shared their happy news with a video posted to their Instagrams.

In the clip, Zach and Whitney could be seen standing together until their son Bradley Gilvin, 10, joins them. “Ya know what they say…one’s company ✨, they write. Then, their daughter Kaci Lynn, 8, runs over and gives Whitney a big hug. “Ya know what they say…three’s a party 🎉,” the text reads as the couple’s daughter Khloé Eileen, 5, joins the family.

“You know what they say…four’s a circus,” the text then reads. Their younger son, Jadon Carl, 3, races in and jumps into Zach’s arms. Zach lifts him over his head onto his shoulders. “Ya know what they say…five’s a team ⚽️,” the text then reads while daughter Lily Jo, 2, toddles over.

Whitney picks up Lily, who is holding a series of sonogram images. The soon-to-be mom of six is pictured from the side, wearing an off-the-shoulder pink dress that highlights her growing bump. “And six is a whole squad!” the text reads.

“✨ COMING SPRING 2026 ✨,” the two write in their caption.
