Duggar News: How Much Did The Duggars Really Earn From Their Show?
Duggar News followers are well aware of how popular Counting On was in its peak days. It used to be a household name for 11 seasons, and viewers loved it. Though it got cancelled by the network after Josh Duggar’s arrest, it is evident that the Duggar family made a fortune from their appearence. Amy Duggar recently got vocal about her earnings before her new memoir, “Holy Disruptor: Shattering the Shiny Facade by Getting Louder with the Truth,” is all set to come out.
Amy claimed that the entire Duggar family earned a lot when it comes to getting money. She believes that roughly they would have cashed in their stardom for $6 million. Yes, 6 MILLION DOLLARS! Apparently, the show ran for about 5 years, and they ended up making a great fortune. But it seems that not every pocket was filled with this hefty amount!
Duggar News: Amy Says She Didn’t Get Money For Her Appearence On The Show! But Why?
Amy Duggar isn’t shying away from talking about some dark dynamics with her Duggar News followers. Jim Bob and Michelle’s outspoken niece dropped a bombshell on the Oct.1 episode of The Viall Files. She claimed that despite making countless appearances on the once hit show, she didn’t get a single penny for her hard work. The celeb recalled how her “uncle” spun the entire series as a “ministry” in front of them and told the family a completely different tale.
Amy explained how Jim told the story where they were meant to “shine a light in the darkness” and treat their airtime as a calling from God rather than a job with a paycheck. Hence, he made it clear that this blessing didn’t really come with financial assistance. She added, “Was there any compensation? Nada.” But that’s not all. Amy further recalled how she initially didn’t even know about what she was getting herself into while signing the contract.
She seemed to have trusted her “uncle” and “blindly” signed the contract without getting into the minute details of what the dynamics were. Amy even claimed that Jim had full control of everything, and he is a really “smart” person. She added, “He’s a businessman and he knows how to do it.” Hence, it is evident that Amy isn’t taking a step back in exposing Jim’s manipulation. What do you think?
