Season 15 Highlighted The Issues
Even before the latest season of the show aired, people were aware of a rift within the family. Initially, it seemed that Anna clashed with her sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston. Liz claimed she had invited her sister to a birthday party for baby Leighton. Meanwhile, Anna claimed that it never happened.
Later, Emma Johnston also joined the feud. After the season revealed how distant the family was towards her, many fans wondered if it was all manufactured drama for the show. Naturally, speculation also revolved around the fact that her mom and dad, Trent and Amber, might have issues with her boyfriend.
Fakery Is Part Of It
When Anna went Live about being done with the show, a small bit of it was shared on Reddit. In summary, on the post, the OP said, “The start is her talking about how the air fried avocados were so stupid and just for the show. Then the main tea is that she’s never returning for the show and agreeing it should be canceled.”
Other topics included the fact that she heard about Liz and Brice having a wedding via “Instagram.” Additionally, “all the therapy was only for the show.” One day, she hopes to marry and “not even have to be known as a Johnston.”

In the discussion area, it seemed that nobody blamed Anna Johnston for wanting to leave the TLC show. One follower said, “It seems so unnecessarily cruel to go to the effort of adopting a child, especially one from a different continent, to treat them like this.
