Erin Bates has been happily married to her husband, Chad Paine, since 2013. They revealed earlier this year that they were expecting a baby. They already have six children. The former reality star was rushed to the hospital near their home in DeLand, Florida, in late August. Baby number seven was on the way earlier than expected. She gave birth to a boy they named Henry Blythe Paine. But it wasn’t an easy birth for either of them.
Baby Henry spent the next few weeks in the NICU getting his strength. His mother was in the hospital’s ICU after developing a UTI and a bladder infection that led to sepsis. Erin Bates’ Husband Makes Wife’s Dream Come True
Erin Bates Paine and her newborn baby finally went home on September 13. The sweet moment she was reunited with her other kids was caught on video. Her mother, Kelly Jo, came to Florida to help out her daughter. Even though she had a clean bill of health, Erin Bates Paine struggled to regain the use of her right leg. She’s currently doing physical therapy to get her strength back.
Not only is the Bringing Up Bates star the mother of a newborn, she’s sidelined by her own health issues. But she has backup help. She shared a photo on Instagram of her husband pitching in with the housework. “This is what dreams are made of,” she wrote. She added that her husband, Chad Paine, had done multiple loads of laundry.
Fans Beg: No More Babies
Erin Bates Paine is just one of the members of the Bates family to give birth this year. More babies are coming in 2026, too. But one fan hopes it isn’t Erin and her husband’s eighth child. The former reality star posted photos from one of baby Henry’s first professional photoshoots. One fan took to the comments to offer unsolicited advice.
- “No more children. Take care of the life you have and the life of your children. You could have died. I am serious. There are no more excuses. Be safe,” they wrote.
