Fans of the Bates family have been following the family as Erin Bates recently endured various health issues following the birth of her seventh child. Recently, the family shared an update with fans with a lot of photos. Through it all, members of the family were shown to be quite busy helping each other during this time.
The Family Had Been Asking For Prayers For Erin Bates Since Late August
Kelly Jo and Gil Bates and their nineteen children became known to fans through various reality shows. This includes Bringing Up Bates, an UP TV series that ran for ten seasons. The family recently made headlines as Erin Bates, Gil and Kelly Jo Bates’ second daughter, endured health complications following the birth of her seventh child, Henry, on August 25, 2025. Since this time, the family has continued to keep fans updated on social media, all the while asking for prayers.
Chad recently took to Instagram to thank fans for all they’ve done for the family at this time. In a caption, he wrote, “We have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support of family and friends during this difficult season. From watching the kids and taking them on adventures, to helping with baby Henry and lifting Erin up with encouragement.” Chad continued, “You have carried us in ways we can’t even put into words. We don’t know how to say thank you enough, but we are truly, deeply grateful.” As previously reported, Chad had shared that Erin’s test results were good in an earlier update. This means she is on her way to recovery.
Photos Have Also Shown That The Family Has Been Quite Busy During This Time Helping Each Other
The carousel post showed the family with each other in various moments. Kelly Jo could be seen holding her new grandchild in one post. In another, she and Gil could be seen standing over the new baby while taking a nap at the hospital. A few of Henry’s aunts, such as Alyssa and Michaela, could also be seen holding him. A few photos showed that Kelly Jo and Gil, as well as other members of the family, have also been keeping busy with the younger members of the family. This includes swimming in the pool, having fun on a trampoline, and a trip to the aquarium. In addition, some photos showed the family helping Erin during her time in the hospital.
