Erin Bates Recently Welcomed Baby Henry Into The World On August 25
Fans first became aware of the Bates family through the UP TV series, Bringing Up Bates. The series, which ran from 2015 to 2021, focused on Gil and Kelly Jo Bates and their nineteen, originally eighteen, children. Last month, Erin Bates had big news to share with fans: the birth of her seventh child, Henry. The new baby was born on August 25, 2025. However, at the time, members of the Bates family asked for prayers as she was reportedly enduring complications from the birth. Taking to social media, another member of the family shared an update over Erin. Michael “Michaela” Bates is Erin’s sister and is herself married to Brandon Keilen.
Baby Henry’s Aunt Wanted To Thank Fans For Their Support
Taking to Instagram, Michaela shared a message to fans who have been praying for Erin amid this time. She wrote, “A huge thank you to [everybody] who has been praying for my sister Erin and her family over the past few days. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love, concern and prayer.” Michaela noted she wouldn’t be able to respond to every message from fans. However, she assured them, “Please know that the comments, texts, and messages have touched our hearts deeply and we are so grateful.”
Michaela also offered a quick update about her new nephew. She wrote, “Henry is an absolute angel baby and we are completely in love with him.” The share included a carousel post made up of photos of Michaela holding baby Henry. With the aunt and nephew changing outfits for the final photo, in which Michaela let Henry rest on her heart, it appears she’s been visiting the new baby multiple times. As previously reported, Erin’s husband, Chad Paine, previously shared that she was in the ICU and undergoing tests. At the time, he also shared that she had undergone a severe seizure. In a post on Instagram, Chad similarly thanked fans for their prayers, noting, “We hold on to faith that healing is coming, even in the midst of the unknown. Your prayers are felt and we are forever grateful.”
Members Of The Family Also Shared Their Support With The Recent Post
With Michaela’s recent post, various members of the family also shared messages with the family. Whitney, who is married to Zachary Bates, wrote, “We’re continuing to send Erin all our love and praying so hard for her.” Tiffany, who is married to Lawson Bates, also shared, “Henry is precious! We are praying so much and so happy you could meet precious baby & be there for Paine family.”
Fans also continued to share words of support with the family amid this time. A few were asking for further updates concerning Erin. Some comments included:
