The Bates family has been sharing updates with fans after Erin Bates has endured health issues following her giving birth to her seventh child. In a recent video, the family shared a video in which Erin got to hear a letter from one of her daughters while in the hospital. The letter also reflected teachings that Erin herself has shared with her family.
Fans Have Been Asked To Send Their Prayers As Erin Bates Has Endured Complications Following A Recent Pregnancy
Erin Bates is the third child and second daughter of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates. Viewers were introduced to the family though various reality shows, including UP TV’s Bringing Up Bates. In 2013, Erin married Chad Paine. They have since gone onto start their own family together, including children Carson, William, Brooklyn, Everly, Holland, and Finley.

On social media, the family recently shared that Chad and Erin just welcomed their seventh child into the world: Henry, who was born on August 25, 2025. However, with the news, it was shared that Erin was enduring complications following the pregnancy. As previously reported, this included Erin enduring a severe seizure and her having to spend time in the ICU.
Since then, the family has kept fans updated about the situation, all the while asking fans for their prayers. In one recent share, the family shared a video in which Chad read to Erin from a letter written by their daughter, Brooklyn, as she laid in her hospital bed. In the video, Chad could be heard reading, “I love you and I know you love me. I wish I could see you now. Waiting every second, one, two, three, for you.”
Fans Were Also Given An Update Concerning Erin’s Test Results Towards The End Of The Video
Brooklyn assured that she would continue to wait for her mother and shared, “I will love you whatever happens.” In the letter, Brooklyn also discussed God and shared her faith that her mother “can do this.” The letter noted, “There is a good thing you can see and cannot see.” While assuring her mother that she loved her, Brooklyn also shared her love for her new brother, Henry.
The camera then showed a few of the drawings Brooklyn sent her mother. Towards the end, the video ended on a positive note, suggesting that Erin’s test results were “good.” Erin has often touched on how she has shared her faith with her children, something that is reflected in the letter. In a video shared back in June, Erin could be seen reading to her daughters, talking to them about God. In a caption, she shared, “Taking the time to teach our children about God is a priority for us.”
