Duggar News: Jinger & Jeremy Discuss Their Daughter’s Horrific ER Visit

Earlier, Duggar News fans learned that Jinger and Jeremy rushed their daughter to the hospital after she experienced excruciating pain in her ear. Jinger revealed that their eldest daughter, Felicity, is very energetic. However, on the day they hosted the wedding, after dancing for an hour, Felicity told her mother that she was experiencing a lot of pain in her ear. She added that even after giving her chewable ibuprofen for kids, the pain did not subside.

The mother then decided to take her to the hospital. Vuolo said that the guest suggested that Felicity’s eardrum might have burst. He added that before leaving for the hospital, Jinger asked ChatGPT to diagnose their daughter’s symptoms. By the time the couple reached home, Felicity said she had started to feel better. Later, Jinger added that the doctors confirmed their daughter had an ear infection and suggested she take antibiotics.

Duggar News: Fans Bash Jinger For Compromising Her Kids’ Health

It appears that Duggar News readers are not pleased with Jinger and her medical advice. Jinger and Jeremy have three children together—two daughters, Felicity and Evangeline, and a son, Finnegan. While it is understandable that she wants the best for her children, sometimes taking proper advice is necessary. After she revealed that her eldest daughter suffered an ear infection, doctors recommended giving her antibiotics.

However, the mother of three added that she does not want her daughter to take antibiotics, as she believes they disrupt gut health. Fans pointed out that there is no study proving that antibiotics harm gut health. She further added that her friend, Audrey Roloff, suggested an ear drop, which ‘worked like a charm’ for their kids. A Reddit user posted a screenshot of Jinger’s Instagram story, in which she recommended the ear drop she used for her daughter’s infection.

A follower commented, “It’s wild to buy stuff like this on Amazon.” Another fan wrote that parents of three cannot trust doctors, yet they are willing to buy something uncertified and randomly listed on a website. In the same episode of their podcast, she added that she does not use sunscreen on her kids; instead, she lets her children ‘soak up the sun.’ According to Mayo Clinic, “Sunscreen can and should be safely used for children 6 months and older.”

It further states that sunscreen can protect against both types of ultraviolet (UV) rays: UVA and UVB. Jeremy noted that he has not conducted research on sunscreens, but he has observed a rise in skin cancer rates, and he has ‘seen something’ that reveals that sunscreen does not help with that. She added that she does not use sunscreen all the time. However, Jinger prefers mineral ones over the regular sunscreen.

A user commented on Reddit that Jinger needs to understand that her parents did not take them to doctors because they lacked sufficient financial resources. The follower explained that this is not the case with Jinger and Jeremy. Even if the random ear drop worked for her, antibiotics would have been a better option. “When used correctly, antibiotics are a GOOD thing,” the same critic added.
