As the family moves into the next chapter of their lives, it would appear that they’re slated to continue appearing on TV. Lifetime has announced that the Chrisley family is slated to appear in a new docuseries—and that it will be very different from their last show, Chrisley Knows Best.
Lifetime Says The Show Will Follow Family Dynamics
In the previous reality TV show, fans got a look into the lives of Todd and Julie Chrisley, two real estate moguls who made a living through their investments, as well as their children, Savannah and Chase. The couple was known for their business savvy, though eventually they were convicted for fraud and other tax crimes in 2022, bringing their reality show to a halt.
Now, it seems, a new docuseries will follow the family as Todd and Julie are released and settle back into everyday life with their family. Lifetime noted in their official statement that, unlike Chrisley Knows Best, Todd and Julie wouldn’t necessarily be the ones in charge anymore, now that they were coming home from prison:
The Chrisleys don’t know best anymore. But they’re doing their best to be there for each other.
Those who were following the story of the couple’s incarceration may recall that their daughter, Savannah, was the one who fought tirelessly for their release. Savannah has also explained that, during the time her parents were away, she felt largely responsible for managing the rest of the family members.
Chase Agreed The New Show Will Be A Tonal Shift
One of the family members, their son Chase, also teased that the upcoming docuseries will have a very different vibe from what fans might be expecting. Ahead of the show’s premiere, he shared that, while their old series could have its moments of comedy, this time around it was going to be much more serious.
Chase elaborated that fans could expect the new docuseries to be much more stripped down:
