JOSEPH and Kendra Duggar have built a $133K Arkansas home featuring two private porches and a walk-in closet. Joe, 27, and Kendra, 23, are parents to children Garrett, 3, Addison, 2, and Brooklyn, who will turn one on February 19.
The Sun can exclusively reveal Joe and Kendra applied for a “new dwelling” permit that was approved back in February 2019. The permit describes the home as a residential one-story 1,403 square-foot house. According to the plans filed, there is a private front and back porch. The home has an open floor plan, as the front door opens to the living room, and then to the kitchen and dining rooms.
To the left, there is a hallway that leads to three bedrooms, a laundry room and one bathroom. The master suite features a second bathroom and walk-in closet.
The home was completed on May 1, 2020 and cost the couple $133,270.97. Joe’s dad Jim Bob initially sold the over eight-acre land to his son and daughter-in-law for $5,000 in May 2018. Jim Bob, 55, and Michelle, 54, initially purchased the home in 2014 for $57,000. Though Joe and Kendra built the home, it doesn’t appear they are the ones living in the abode.
GIFTED HOME?
Joe and Kendra sold 1.66 acres to her parents Gene “Paul” and Christina Caldwell, who have nine children, on July 30, 2021 for just $10,000 in a “split parcel sale.” The outside of the home on The Caldwell Family’s Instagram page matches the exterior of the yellow home, sparking speculation that they have been living there with their brood. According to Instagram photos, the kitchen has white cabinets with black hardware, and white and gray countertops.
The kitchen also has an island and stainless steel appliances. One of the bathrooms has the same cabinets and countertops. The home has gray wood floors and carpeting throughout. There is also a staircase leading to an open den area. Property records don’t show a second home was built on the land.
As for Joe and Kendra, they live in a log cabin on the Duggar compound with their three children. Kendra was expecting her third child at the same time Christina was pregnant with her ninth. Christina is a stay-at-home mother, while her husband is a pastor and in the car business.
