Jana Duggar is a mom! The Counting On alum, 36, welcomed her first baby, a baby boy called named Archie Gerald Wissmann, with her husband Stephen Wissmann on Dec. 30.
Sharing the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on Friday, Jan. 23, the caption read, “We took some time to settle into our new rhythm before sharing this sweet news 🤍 Archie Gerald Wissmann arrived on December 30, 2025, and our hearts have been completely changed.” “We’re soaking in these early days, full of love, wonder, and so much gratitude,” the post added.
The words accompanied three adorable photos of the new parents holding their baby boy, who was swaddled in a green blanket.
“Ahhh we love Archie so much already and can’t wait to meet him!! 😍, sister Jinger Duggar wrote in the comments section.
The first-time mom revealed her pregnancy in August 2025, one year after the couple tied the knot in August 2024. “We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!” the reality star and her spouse captioned their joint Instagram announcement. “We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”
The post featured a few photos from their maternity photoshoot, which was courtesy of Duggar’s sister-in-law, whom she thanked “for our beautiful photos!” The couple’s cover shot was a black-and-white photo of them gently kissing as they both smiled. Two more color shots followed, with Wissmann placing his hand on his wife’s growing baby bump as they stood outdoors.
Since their special announcement, Duggar has continued to document her pregnancy on social media. “Halfway through pregnancy and I’m still in awe! It sure has flown by! I love feeling those tiny kicks these days!” the then-expectant mother captioned a late September Instagram post. Her round-up began with a photo of her smiling for a mirror selfie as she cradled her belly while wearing a long-sleeved sweater and jeans. It was followed by a similar shot of her posing at a different angle.

More recently, Duggar shared a December update just one month before her baby was due. “The anticipation is building in our home! Can’t wait to meet this little guy!” she wrote, along with a single, blue heart emoji as she stood in front of the same mirror as the previously mentioned post.
And the 19 Kids and Counting alum isn’t the only one who comes from a large family, as Wissmann is one of 13 siblings. Two days before tying the knot to Wissmann in 2023, Duggar told PEOPLE, “I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday.”
“For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true,” she added.
The pair, who got engaged on June 15, 2024, exchanged traditional vows at The Grand at Willow Springs in front of 500 guests. For the newlyweds “classic, elegant” ceremony, Jessa Duggar Seewald served as the bride’s maid of honor, while her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Jordyn Duggar were bridesmaids.
