Jill Duggar Speaks Out On Brother Joseph’s Child Molestation Arrest

Josh Duggar from TLC’s 19 Kids & Counting show was arrested in 2021 for possessing child pornography. He was convicted and sentenced to over a decade in prison. He previously admitted to molesting young girls, including some of his sisters. Now, another male member of the family was arrested on similar charges. Jill Duggar Dillard, who was one of Josh’s victims, broke her silence and spoke out on the shocking arrest.

Another Duggar Sibling Arrested

Joseph Duggar was 26 when his older brother was sent to prison for having child pornography hidden on his computer. Now, he’s under arrest himself for similar charges. He was arrested on March 18 in Arkansas on sex-related crimes involving a 9-year-old girl.

The alleged incident happened in 2020 in Florida. He’s accused of inappropriately touching the young girl. Joseph Duggar reportedly confessed to the crime years ago, but was only just charged. Jill Duggar Dillard is still dealing with the trauma of what Josh Duggar did to her and his 2021 arrest. She was one of several young siblings he admitted to molesting. TLC canceled 19 Kids & Counting after Josh Duggar’s molestation confession went public. Jill Duggar Dillard briefly appeared on the spinoff Counting On before leaving in 2017. She now keeps fans updated through social media and the family blog with her husband, Derick Dillard.

“We strongly condemn abuse. We support the rule of law and hope that justice will be achieved. Our hearts go out to the innocent juvenile victim of this unspeakable crime and her family. We pray God gives her strength, comfort and hope, and that she is able to get all the help and support she needs and deserves in the days ahead,” the Dillards said in the statement.

The couple sent love to their sister-in-law, Kendra, and the four children she shares with Joseph Duggar. The statement ended with two bible verses.

  • “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression;…” -Isaiah 1:17 ESV.
  • “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18 ESV.

As a survivor herself, Jill Duggar Dillard sadly knows exactly how the victim feels. Joseph Duggar is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, March 20, for a hearing on his extradition to Florida. However, his brother, Josh Duggar, continues to fight to be released from prison. What do you think of what Jill had to say, and finally, are you shocked by this situation?
