Jill Duggar debuted a controversial hair transformation that stirred up strong reactions from critics. On Tuesday, June 3, the former Counting On star, 34, took to Instagram to reveal the style switch-up
“👀😍 I did a thing today! Added a little summer happy to my hair and I’m loving it! ☀️,” the TLC alum captioned her update. “Thanks @derickdillard for the b’day gift!”
In the accompanying video, Jill showed off her new ‘do with a mirror selfie clip. She clarified the look was from DreadFullHippie, writing, “My hubby got me one of their Viking sets for my b’day. Just 5 pieces and then I braided some of my own hair too to fill in the bottom so I have a couple rows.”
Jill added that her hair was a “mix of synthetic braids and dreads.”
In the Instagram comments, many of the reactions were positive.

- Another pointed out, “It’s pretty unfortunate that she has to find her style as a woman in her 30s because of the sheltered environment she grew up in. Everyone has fashion choices they regret but most people are able to get them out of the way before adulthood.”
