Even after welcoming her third child into the world less than a week ago, Jinger Duggar can still find time to respond to out-of-control rumors on social media when they involve her kids. During a Q&A that she shared on her Instagram Stories, Jinger shut down claims that one of her daughters is “disabled” after she said people had been asking her about this rumor for years.
One of the questions Jinger got was about what she posts about her girls.

Though most of the questions revolved on her son’s birth and her postpartum experience, one person asked to see Jinger’s daughters, adding, “Is one disabled in some way?”
To Jinger’s credit, she did respond in a pretty level-headed way to a stranger demanding to see her children.
“I’ve never answered this question but sadly it’s been a rumor for years,” Jinger wrote. “This is actually why we don’t show our children’s faces and choose to give them privacy. 1) people demand to see them. 2) we don’t want to subject our kids to how cruel some people can be in their judgments. It’s honestly just sad to see these comments come in.”
She went on to say that she’s been “blessed with 3 healthy children,” but if one of them was disabled, she’d still take the same approach and not share her child’s face online.
This isn’t the first time she’s spoken about not showing their faces on social media.
Though Jinger did once post photos of her oldest daughter, Felicity, quite frequently, that all changed around the time her second child, Evangeline, was born. Back in 2023, she explained the reasoning behind her decision in a similar Q&A.
“We wanted to give our sweet girls privacy. If they choose to be in the public eye when they grow up, that would be just fine,” she shared at the time. “We just saw more cons than pros when it comes to everyone knowing everything about them. Social media is a great place to share what’s happening, but we also want to protect and keep our kiddos safe! So appreciate your understanding and kind words.”
She’s also not the only member of her family who keeps her kids’ faces private.
In recent years, Jill Duggar has also made the move to avoid sharing her kids’ faces on social media, so it appears Jinger is in good company with this choice.
Some of her other siblings, however, such as Joy-Anna, have made different decisions involving their kids’ online presence, and that seems to work for them, too. In the end, that’s what matters most.
