Former Counting On star Josh Duggar alleges that TLC forced him to admit he had a fake addiction to p*rnography. Yet, what was their reasoning behind this, and how has it impacted his life? Keep reading for more details on what Josh is claiming.
Josh Duggar Says TLC Forced Him To Admit Fake P*rn Addiction
Currently, Counting On alum Josh Duggar is serving a nearly thirteen-year prison sentence. In 2022, the son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar was convicted of receiving chi|d p*rnography. He will also have to register as a sex offender, plus serve 20 years of supervised release after he gets out in 2032. Josh’s sentence was to end in August of 2032, but he faced setbacks that will keep him there longer, likely until December. This has been a major blow to Josh and his family. He and his wife, Anna Duggar, have seven children, so this has thrown them all off course.

Despite all of the drama and shame that has surrounded Josh, he is now speaking out over something he claims he was forced to do. He is currently attempting to have a new trial, and while he is doing so, he is spilling the tea. Allegedly, TLC threatened to cancel his family’s hit reality series if he did not admit he had an addiction to pornography. He has added that he needed to make amends for his addiction or the show would be over. Now, Josh is also claiming that this addiction never existed and was all fabricated by the network.
A decade ago, Josh Duggar allegedly came out with his p*rnography addiction. He had a statement that also claimed he was living a double life, and much more. However, he is maintaing that he did not write any of this, and it was all done by TLC:
“The statement was drafted and issued under immense pressure from representatives of TLC, Discovery Communications, and their legal and public relations teams.”
Moreover, the Duggars could face serious ramifications with their hit reality series had he not come forward. Finally, Josh made it clear that he has never been diagnosed as having an addiction to p*rnography so this was all made up lies for the network’s benefit.
More Drama Surrounding Josh
Additional issues have plagued Josh Duggar and his desire to clear his name, or at least be released in a timely manner. He would like a new trial, but he did cop to using Ashley Madison. This is a site for married people to find love outside of their relationships. He openly stated that he was a hypocrite for what he preached versus what he did. Furthermore, there was former family friends who made allegations against Josh. They stated that their daughter was to marry him but that ended amid his scandal. At the end of the day, it is unclear what Josh’s addiction is, if he has one, and how he can prove TLC had him lie.
