Joy-Anna Duggar Fans Think She’s ‘Throwing Her Family Under the Bus’ With NEW PHOTO

Joy-Anna Duggar recently posted a photo giving a shout-out to her husband’s Austin Forsyth‘s mother—however, some fans thought she shaded her parents, Michelle and Jim BobDuggar, in the process.

On March 31, the former Counting On star posted a photo of her laptop to her Instagram Story as she worked on filing her taxes.

The ninth-born out of 19 kids captioned the picture with a shout-out to her mother-in-law.

“Austin’s mom taught me everything I know about paperwork for running a business,” she wrote on the snap. “Tax season prep, book work, organization, reconciling.” In much smaller text, Joy-Anna acknowledged the dirty spots on her computer, adding, “Also, the chocolate milk stains from my kiddos.”

On Reddit, one poster speculated Joy’s comment was “throwing her family under the bus” because she didn’t give credit to her own parents for teaching her about taxes.

Another user agreed, sharing, “This reads: My dad could have taught me a lot of this alongside my brothers, but he actively chose not to.”

Someone else echoed, “I agree. It also reads: ‘I’m proud that I run my own business and am contributing to the family. No thanks to my own parents who did not equip me for life.'”

Still, a different Reddit user defended Joy’s update, pointing out, “I don’t think she’s aiming this comment at her family. She’s just glad she knows how to do something.”

Joy-Anna previously opened up about no longer following the religion in which her parents raised her, the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP).

In an October appearance on The Unplanned Podcast, Joy spoke about parting with “fear-based” ideas from her childhood, explaining, “It’s a journey and I’m still searching things out.”
