On Thursday this week, Katie said that she got additional information about Joseph and Kendra Duggar but protected the name of her source. During her vlog, she claimed that Kendra had no idea about Joseph’s alleged crimes until just days before her world fell apart.
The Arrest Allegations
A quick recap: Joseph was arrested after a teen told her dad he’d been inappropriate with her when she was nine. That happened in Florida. The next thing, Kendra ended up arrested and charged with “four counts of False Imprisonment” and “four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.” Aside from the counts of child endangerment, which arose from Arkansas and Tontitown statutes, Katie noted that Joseph knew about allegations by the teen. And, allegedly, he gave Kendra the heads-up on it about a week before TLC fans saw it all go down online. Prior to that, the source claimed, “She literally just found out.”
Kendra Wasn’t Aware Of Jospeh’s Actions?
Kendra Duggar was reportedly blindsided by the allegations against Joseph. Fans of the show can only imagine how shattered she must have been. And now, she deals with her own legal situation over how they treated their kids. Notably, that argument nullifies those who claim Kendra must have covered up for her husband. As usual with TV shows, apparently, Counting On fans didn’t see the real deal going down in their home. In fact, the claim arrived that Kendra suffered from some sort of autoimmune disease.

Katie explained, “I don’t know which one it is, but I was told that it’s like she has a lot of fatigue and she’s got pain.” Allegedly, the complications from the disorder made life hard for Kendra, from “having kids and keeping up with kids and being pregnant all the time.” That explained why she stopped having children after the arrival of their youngest child. Meanwhile, typical for the Duggars, Joseph worked while Kendra was expected to stay home and raise the kids. And, presumably, tend to his every need when he was around. Allegedly, as she felt ill and in pain for much of the time, she couldn’t keep up with the workload.
Joseph & Kendra’s Home Allegedly A Mess
After Joseph’s arrest and confinement while awaiting extradition to Florida, a welfare check allegedly revealed much more than just locked doors. Per the source, law enforcement discovered the home looked like a tip. Katie described it as: “The house is a disaster.” She added, “I was told it was unsanitary. It was dirty. It was really gross.” As for the explanation of the locked bedroom doors where the kids slept, the informant claimed that Joseph and Kendra told officals that one of the kids sleepwalked. Allegedly, they said “they were trying to prevent the sleepwalking” and that “they were locking their kids in their rooms at night.”
As Katie Joy noted, that certainly “didn’t pass the sniff test.” And, that’s where the obedience to the man comes in that Counting On fans know a lot about from the TLC show. Allegedly, locking the doors came from Joseph. Joy explained, “That was a Joseph thing.”
Jim Bob Did The Same Thing?
Unsurprisingly, Joseph Duggar allegedly learned it from his own mom and dad, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle. Joy suggested that “His parents did that to him when he was a child.” Apparently, that started after the Josh Duggar scandal that saw the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting. Apparently unwell, made to obey her husband, and probably terrified, the source claimed that Kendra also lost her kids. Joy said, “The kids were placed outside of the Duggar family.” She added, “100% not with the Duggars.” Additionally, allegedly, Kendra’s family want her to dump, divorce, and duck out of the marriage to Joseph ASAP.
The World Cashed Down
The tone of the vlog suggested that it’s not a new concern about their daughter. Joy described Kendra as “completely blindsided by all of this.” If that’s the case, then it seems obvious when she said, “When Joseph tells her, her entire world came crashing down.” In fact, in the space of a week, she lost her kids, and, her husband’s gone away in custody. Meanwhile, Kendra Duggar ended up getting a mugshot and paying bail, and soon appears in court. That hqppens on Monday next week.
Other Adult Kids Worry
Apart from Kendra, allegedly, other adult kids in the Duggar family worry that they might be next. That’s because her source revealed to Katie Joy that “Some of the siblings are doing exactly what Joe does with their own kids.” So, they fear also facing the same legal consequences. While it seems very possible that Kendra Duggar struggled with raising kids and followed Joseph’s orders about locked doors, it’s not carved in stone.
