Kendra Duggar Whisked Away to ‘Private’ Location with Children After Being Released From Custody
Kendra Duggar was booked into an Arkansas jail on March 20 after she and her husband Joseph Duggar were charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree.
She was released on bail just 90 minutes after being booked into custody, but it appears the reality star did not return home.
Instead, as she told her husband later that evening during a collect call from the Washington County Detention Facility obtained by PEOPLE, she had been taken to a private residence.

Joseph spoke with Kendra at 8:11 p.m. on March 20, after failing to get in contact with her the first two times he called his wife. “Did you hear that I’m out here with, um, did you hear where I’m at and everything?” Kendra asks Joseph on the call.
Joseph then tells Kendra he does not think they should say where she is, and while she at first seems to dismiss that thought she ultimately does not reveal her location. “They brought me to a good place to stay that’s very private,” Kendra says.
She then turns her focus to Joseph, as children can be heard running around and playing in the background. “So you’re doing okay,” Kendra asks.
Joseph tells her that he is “trying to keep [his] spirits up” and says “reading the Bible has really been helpful and calming to think about all the situation – situations.” Joseph then gets a bit choked up before adding that reading the Bible has been “uplifting.”

Kendra then offers to get him some reading material but Joseph then stops responding. It is unclear what happened at that moment, since the call was still being recorded and was paid for on Joseph’s end — but after two minutes without getting a response Kendra hangs up.
She is staying at this private residence after her own home was searched by both the Tontitown Police Dept. and Arkansas Dept. of Human Services on March 19.
That search resulted in her being charged with four misdemeanor counts each of false imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child.
She is set to appear in court on those charges April 29. Joseph, meanwhile, remains in custody awaiting extradition to Florida after being accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl in 2020 during a family vacation to Panama City Beach. A police source previously told PEOPLE that Kendra’s charges are not related in any way to Joseph’s charges in connection with the alleged Florida incident.
