Little People, Big World Fans Drag Matt Roloff After Shocking Scoop

About four days ago, Little People, Big World patriarch Matt Roloff announced that he and Caryn Chandler had split. Hardly anyone was surprised, but they did react to a follow-up story that got some TLC viewers irritated. Read on to find out why.

The Latest Update Irritated Fans

The news about the split didn’t take a lot of hunting to find because Matt posted about it on Instagram ahead of the weekend. In his post, he said, “Caryn and I have decided to part ways and end our engagement.” Next, he claimed that the split was “amicable” and he mentioned treasuring memories.

Additionally, he made the comments locked, so TLC fans couldn’t comment. But that hasn’t stopped them discussing it elsewhere. While the original news shocked nobody as they long suspected things were not right between the couple, a new story about it got them very irritated.

Several outlets, including The Sun US wrote about how Matt Roloff had dropped over a million dollars on Caryn before they split. And, some folks felt that it was just amped-up hype for clicks and basically came across as fake news.

Fans React To The $1 Million Story

What seemed to annoy folks on Reddit, was that the stories were about the new home that Matt built on the farm. It took a number of years, and over time, he shared the progress. Caryn already had a home, but she sold it. And, although she was living in it on the rare occasions the couple were in Oregon, he didn’t specifically build it for her.

One Little People, Big World fan straight up accused the various outlets of writing the story for “clicks.” And another one simply called it all a “fake news” story. The fact that Matt built a house and the couple lived in it didn’t seem to be a fair way of claiming he’d simply dropped so much money on his now ex-fiancée.

Another fan suggested that he didn’t just drop the money on his ex, saying, “If he did (he didn’t) that would be a pretty stupid way to spend your money.” And one thing about the TLC patriarch, when it comes to money, he’s known to be choosy about where he spends it.

Will Caryn Keep The House?

Somehow, it seems unlikely that Caryn Chandler will get to keep the home in Hillsboro. After all, it’s part of the property that belongs to the farm. Probably, any compensation due to Caryn will be carefully looked over by attorneys. In time, more might come to light. However, as they never tied the knot, it’s not likely to end up in a protracted divorce hearing.
