Little People, Big World star Matt Roloff and his fiancée of two years, Caryn Chandler, have called it quits. The duo began dating eight years ago, and seemed to be happily in love. Now, it is over for the LPBW couple, but what was the reason? Keep reading for more details.

Little People, Big World fans have watched the evolution of Matt Roloff and his family. This includes his split from his longtime wife, Amy Roloff, in 2016. She ended up moving on with Chris Marek and has not looked back. As for Matt, he found love a year after his divorce with a new woman, Caryn Chandler. They began dating in 2017, and finally got engaged in April 2023. It looked like they would tie the knot in 2024, but that did not happen. Some LPBW fans wondered what the holdup was, yet they seemed to be taking their time.
Rumors began to fly that there was trouble in paradise, but that was always debunked. Sadly, on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, Matt took to his social media to share a heartbreaking update. He shared that he and Caryn have not only opted to end the engagement, but they officially split up. Matt added that this was the right decision for the couple as of now. Ultimately, Matt is grateful for the time he spent with Caryn, and they will stay on good terms. Finally, he thanked his followers for being there for him and for all of the support they have shown.
As of now, the LPBW star has turned off all comments so that fans and followers cannot say anything. This is shocking for some as Matt and Caryn shared a snap at the end of April 2025. In the comments, followers stated how much happier he seemed being with her. However, others were confused as they had assumed the duo were over. It is unclear when the breakup occurred, but viewers will likely never see it play out. TLC seemingly has not renewed the beloved series after 25 seasons.
A New Lease On Life
Despite the engagement being called off, Matt Roloff appears to be in a positive headspace. The Little People, Big World star knows that there is happiness ahead and that is all that matters. As for Caryn Chandler, she has not posted on social media since 2021. Therefore, she has not addressed the split, which may happen in time. LPBW fans have previously stated that they do not believe the relationship was ever real, which is sad:
- I firmly believe their relationship is for show and business and not actually genuine.
- It would be funny if Caryn peaced out now that there is zero chance of the show continuing, but she’s probably just spending more time in Arizona to be near her parents.
One noted that they did not think Matt would end it unless he had someone else to take Caryn’s place. Time will tell what he is up to and who he will end up with.
