Sister Wives star Meri Brown just took a petty swipe at her former sister wife, Christine Brown Woolley. So, what is Kody Brown’s former first wife upset over, and is she just being snarky? Keep reading for more details on what went down between the ladies.
Meri Brown Takes Petty Swipes At Christine
When Sister Wives first began in 2010, the OG3 wives appeared to get along just fine. They shared one home, one husband, and all of their children. Former first wife, Meri Brown, praised former third wife, Christine Brown Woolley, for how she ran and handled the home. They even had playful moments during different events throughout the show’s early years. Sadly, it came out that the women were not as close as they appeared, with Christine and Janelle Brown being the last close friends standing. Janelle has confided in Meri over the last few years, but that does not apply to Christine.

The two women did hug at Christine’s daughter, Gwendlyn Brown’s, engagement party, but it dwindled after that. In September 2025, Christine’s tell-all memoir will be released, and she is not holding back. Therefore, fans are ready and raring to read it. Meri had previously teased a book, but that never happened, and now she is taking a jab at her former sister wife. She went on social media and made a reel where she made it clear that she did not have to spill the tea and could keep it close to her chest.

The Sister Wives star was taking an indirect jab at Christine Brown Woolley for doing what she is and even landing a book tour. Furthermore, Meri Brown noted that she does not have to tell her side, as this helps her keep her peace. It sounds more like she is jealous of Christine for all that she has achieved post-Kody. Not only did she leave on her own accord, but she has also found love, gotten married, and started new businesses. Finally, she has an in-demand book.
Not A Cool Move
After Sister Wives fans saw what Meri Brown had to say, they were not pleased with her. They immediately believed that she was taking a dig at Christine Brown Woolley, and for no reason. She can live her life privately and not write a book, if that is what she chooses. However, Christine is also valid in wanting to share her side:
- If you don’t want to spill the tea, that’s fine… but I can’t help thinking that this is a dig at Christine and her book release.
- I am so glad she wrote that book. After so much abuse. Monetise the tea.
- I respect your right to not and Christine’s right too.
- You call it tea. But I feel like it’s just honesty.
It was also suggested that Meri’s story was told by others, so maybe she could take her control back. At this point, it will be interesting to see if Christine’s book comes up in Season 20. Moreover, how her sister wives will react to this news, as well as Kody Brown. Do you think Meri has some resentment toward Christine for her happiness and success?
