It was clear from the time Dannielle and Garrick Merrifield first appeared on Seeking Sister Wife that it was all about him. He had heard a calling from God that they needed to add more wives to their family. Unfortunately for his longtime wife, Dannielle, she did not feel the same calling. Rather, she had to come to terms with the idea that they would add a wife or more, and they have since courted several women. Roberta was the first, but she bailed on coming to America at the last minute. Then, there was Nathalia, whom Garrick was engaged to, but when it was time for them to get married, Dannielle dropped a bomb.
Dannielle shared that she was expecting a baby with Garrick, and that shocked everyone. It seemed that Garrick was looking for another partner so he could continue to procreate. However, Dannielle botched that, and Garrick’s romance with Nathalia fell apart. Fans are now questioning if Dannielle becoming pregnant with their third child had a selfish motive behind it. It was not so much that she wanted a baby, but rather needed one to keep Garrick to herself while scaring potential wives away.
Seeking Sister Wife viewers noted how Garrick Merrifield and Nathalia were actively trying to have a child. The same applied to himself and Roberta, but Dannielle ensured she was the one with the baby. One had this to say about the baby situation:
