But a clip of Robyn’s description of her finances recently surfaced online, leaving fans aghast over what she is saying.
Sister Wives: Robyn Brown Offered a Confusing Story
The fourth and youngest wife in this Sister Wives marriage, Robyn Brown, never strayed from her description of her first marriage. But fans had a hard time swallowing this story. Before she married Kody Brown, she married her first husband, David Jessop, with the plan of taking on sister wives.
Robyn called her first marriage a polygamous marriage, but no other wives ever materialized. So, she and her ex-husband never got beyond the monogamous stage. Robyn said that because her marriage was unstable, they never took on another wife.
Robyn’s False Expertise on Polygamy?
The Sister Wives viewers didn’t buy her explanation of a bad marriage as the reason for not bringing other wives into that marriage. If Robyn hadn’t stayed long enough to have three children with the man who wasn’t her idea of a good husband or father, they might have bought the story.
Yet, Robyn offered all kinds of advice about polygamy. But, in the last few seasons, the other wives suggested she knew little about living with sister wives, even though she went into her first marriage looking for the polygamy lifestyle.

A clip circulating online today shows Robyn talking about her finances when she joined Kody’s family. Robyn came into the family after taking on the debt of her first marriage. When asked why in a couch session years back, she thought it was the most peaceful thing to do in her divorce.

Robyn Brown also talked about being in collections and not having the money to pay what she owed. And she sat next to Kody while confessing that she was ashamed of this. Yet Sister Wives fans clapped back. They wondered why she didn’t get a job to help clear up the debt. So it sounds like Robyn came into the family with a ton of debt from her failed previous marriage. So, the animosity that the other three wives felt towards Robyn when she and Kody returned from her honeymoon might have more pieces to it than just jealousy.
The dowry that the fourth wife came with likely added to the stress for this cash-strapped family. And while it has never been confirmed that Kody and his other three wives absorbed that debt into the family funds, fans assumed that they did.
