Sister Wives: Jenn Spreads Awareness About Sarcoma!
Jenn, in an Instagram post, revealed that July is Sarcoma Awareness Month, and she wants to spread the word. She revealed that it started off as a simple bug bite on her husband’s calf, but it was so much more. The bump grew slowly, and they even consulted doctors and specialists who thought it was a cyst or a lipoma.
Doctors agreed to remove it surgically and conducted a few biopsy tests, after which they understood that it was a Sarcoma. The first few diagnoses were wrong, and this was because the tumor became two and then three. So, she suggested that people who have a lump or a bump should take a photo of it and consult a physician and a specialist as soon as possible.
Sister Wives: A Cast Member Talks About Their Post-Surgery Struggles!
Meri and Jenn have been friends for years and share an unbreakable bond. Jenn has supported Meri through all her worst moments and even helped her realize what true friendship looks like. She even helped her see Robyn’s true colors, and now Meri is in a better emotional position. However, recently, an obstacle came their way as Jenn’s husband was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer. Jenn revealed that her husband, Shawn, has even undergone five weeks of radiation to treat the disease.
Moreover, he had two major surgeries, including the removal of a third tumor that had grown just beside the radiation area. It went unnoticed during the radiation, but later, the doctor spotted it and decided to remove it surgically. Jenn explained that Shawn’s recovery journey has been long and painful. After the surgery, he lost all his strength, but he is gradually gaining it back.
He is getting back into shape, and they appreciate their friends and family’s patience. Jenn also appreciated every text, check-in, prayer, and act of kindness that people have extended to them over the past few days. Also, a lot of people have supported their kids without even knowing them, and they’ll always be grateful for it.
Talking about their kids, Jenn added that they did not reveal Shawn’s illness to them to avoid causing stress. But now they have told them to help them feel confident, and also because they are now on a better path. July is also Sarcoma Awareness Month, and Jenn wants to raise awareness.
