After years of speculation, a star of TLC’s Sister Wives has dropped a bombshell book announcement. In an interview for the YouTube channel Notes to Self 444, Meri Brown has revealed that she is indeed writing a book. The reveal came after a viewer asked the reality star if she had plans to share her story.
Her remarks come at the video’s 43-minute mark, where the channel’s host Melanie, daughter of a high-ranking member within the Apostolic United Brethren religious group, posed the question.
Brown said, “Yes” when asked if she would be writing a book. She also answered in the affirmative when asked if she had already started writing.
“I talk to Jenn [Sullivan, Meri’s friend and frequent Sister Wives guest] about this all the time. I want it all organized, and I want to plan,” she began.
“They asked me to write an outline. I hated that part in my English class growing up,” the reality star added. “Jenn’s like, ‘just start writing,’ so I have been just writing stories,” Meri continued. “I’ll organize it later.”
Meri’s book reveal comes one year after Christine Brown announced her memoir, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom. The book was released in September 2025 and detailed her life within polygamy, her marriage to Kody Brown, and leaving her faith behind, becoming a No. 1 New York Times bestseller.
Fans have rallied for Meri to write her memoir for years. In the video’s comments section, they shared their excitement over the project.
One fan commented, “Yea! I will definitely read.” A second wrote, “I really love your honesty Meri and I look forward to your book.” However, a third fan wasn’t convinced Meri’s book would be the tell-all Sister Wives viewers are hoping for. “The question is, are we going to get anything new or just the circles they keep going in?”
Thus far, Christine and Meri are the only two of Kody’s wives to write down their story. Janelle has not shared whether she will ever write down the story of her life as a polygamist. The three women shared their lives with Kody Brown and had a collective 13 children before he married Robyn Brown in 2014. Kody and Robyn Brown live monogamy. His three exes left over the course of three years, from 2021 through 2023.
Sister Wives is currently on hiatus. The series airs on TLC.
