In tonight’s Sister Wives episode, picking up with the Tell All, Suki next asked about Coyote Pass. The property was paid off. There was no do remaining debt and the issue is now dividing up the property. Kody didn’t want to discuss it with his exes at first. He still doesn’t want to discuss it. He was prepared to stonewall everyone on this issue. It was his exes that did a lot of the talking. The property was divided up unequally. Meri tried asking about this back in Las Vegas and she got in trouble with both Kody and Roby because of it. They shut her down.
No one was allowed to question Kody about that property. He claimed he was going to sell it. He even swore that he would give them their fair share of the check and no one believed him. They don’t do that anymore. He’s shown that he’s untrustworthy. Kody told the others for years that Janelle was in charge of the money.
It was a lie. Janelle was merely the bookkeeper. She never called the shots. Nor did she have a say about how the money was spent. Kody said they all put in money and that sometimes they’d agree to give it to someone that needs it the most. Meri has financial records proving she contributed to the family. It was the family that didn’t pay for her kid’s college or car. Meri paid for that by herself. Kody doesn’t dispute that charge.
His reply was that the family helped pay for Meri’s house. Which house? The one in Vegas or the one in Flagstaff. It sure wasn’t the one in Utah. Meri paid for that by herself. She tried to approach the family and still ended up paying for it by herself. Meri also believed that Kody was under the impression that she was hiding money from him. And she wasn’t.
Meri actually had to prove it by getting her financial records. She put in more than she got out. The same for the others. They all noticed that Robyn was getting extra cash. It was a sign of Kody’s favoritism that they began seeing almost from the start and Janelle knew that better than most as the family’s bookkeeper.
All Kody could say was that Janelle’s opinion of the finances changed after they split up. He wants to imply that she was fine with the way things were until the marriage ended. Only Janelle just wasn’t the bitter woman that he was painting. Janelle was fine on her own. She wasn’t bitter. She was finally getting the flower farm she always wanted. She was still seeing her kids and grandkids. This included children from Christine as well. Christine and Janelle were still great friends after everything. The problem wasn’t them. It was Kody.
Kody often paints himself as the bad guy to protect Robyn and he couldn’t do the basic minimum with any of the others. He also goes after their weaknesses now that they were all broken up. He claimed that Janelle was too in charge of the money. He said Chrstine wasn’t physically attractive.
Both were very hurtful things to say about his ex-wives. It was doubly so for the fact that he always claimed not to know what’s bothering him and it turns out he knew it all along. He started out very physical with Christine. It then stopped at about five times a year before nothing.
Christine knew something was wrong. She tried to talk to him about it and he shut her down. He said that he couldn’t do that in a polygamous marriage. He couldn’t give in to PDA. Things were different now because he openly admits he loves it with Robyn and he said it was Robyn that was shy. Christine used to crave that from him. After he said he stopped being attracted to her, she came to a decision. She told herself that she was going to sleep with someone early into the relationship just to reassure them both if they had a future together. She then met David. Things happened organically.
Her words. She knew with David what it was like to be romantically loved. They have a very passionate relationship. They make out all the time. David was the person she always needed. Kody couldn’t be that person and he stopped trying to be after Robyn joined the family.
Kody used to be affectionate with the other wives. He used to make out with Meri. It was Janelle’s mom that asked him to be more mindful of Janelle and her feelings. He stopped at just kissing the others. This too stopped later on. Robyn entered the family knowing that PDA was out. It was very uncomfortable for a plural family. Now that he was a monogamous, Kody tried showing Robyn PDA at a family event and they supposedly got kicked out. It was at an event that cameras didn’t cover and that he refused to talk about.
Another thing was Robyn’s friendship with Meri that came to an end. They have different versions of what led to the breakdown. Meri said she tried for years with Robyn and it wasn’t being reciprocated. Robyn said she tried only that Meri didn’t know how to be friends with her ex-husband’s wife.
The one he openly calls his true love. Kody believes Robyn’s story. Meri doesn’t and neither do the other ex-wives. They all felt that Robyn toyed with Meri towards the end. She was constantly telling Meri that Kody still loves her. And that they could make their marriage work. It was a lie. Everyone could see that it wouldn’t work. Robyn crying after Meri moved has less to do with Meri and more to do with the part that she signed up for polygamy and wasn’t getting it.
Meri even felt that was the case with Robyn’s tears. Robyn was the only one Kody loved and she was the one that didn’t see it. She got the luggage rack. Kody used to take the rack and leave the other women’s luggage on the floor. Robyn never had that problem.
