Tiffany & Lawson Bates Are Expecting Baby No. 2 Less Than a Year After Having First Son
Another Bates grandchild is on the way! Bringing Up Bates star Lawson Bates is expecting his second child with wife Tiffany – less than a year after welcoming their first baby. Tiffany and Lawson shared the exciting news on Instagram, with a reel and some photos. In the video and pictures, the happy couple pose with their 11-month-old son William, then reveal a sonogram.
Lawson, the fourth oldest of the 19 Bates kids, married Tiffany in 2022. On March 5, 2024, after experiencing a miscarriage in 2023, they announced that they were expecting their first baby.
On July 19, 2024, William Daniel Bates entered the world. The sweet baby boy quickly became their entire world, but they didn’t waste any time starting to try for baby No. 2.
Less than 11 months after William was born, Tiffany and Lawson announced that they were expecting their second baby. In their Instagram posts, they shared that Tiffany is due in “Winter 2025,” but they didn’t give an exact date.
Tiffany isn’t the only Bates family member expecting a baby. In April, the Bates women played “pregnancy roulette” for an Instagram video. They all took pregnancy tests, put them into a cup, and read off the results one at a time. Of the eight women who took pregnancy tests, three had positive results.
At the time, Tiffany wrote, “There’s sooo many babies in this family! Grandbaby #40 is coming very fast”
So who else is expecting? Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart are expecting their third baby in September, Erin Bates and Chad Paine are looking forward to their seventh baby, Lydia Romeike and Trace Bates are expecting their second baby this month (June), Josie Bates and Kelton Balka await their fourth baby, and Jackson Bates and wife Emerson are expecting their first child. That’s six more Bates babies!
The Bateses, who have been friends of the Duggar family for a long time, seem to be giving them a run for their money when it comes to grandchildren. Both families have 19 kids, but the Bates will end 2025 with 40 grandkids, while the Duggars will only have 36.
For a family that believes in having as many children as possible, the Bates must be thrilled with all the pregnancies in the family.
