The TLC star celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with Amber on Season 15. However, Trent and Amber gathered their kids later to discuss their health issues. The former admitted to facing vertigo symptoms for the past few months.

He experienced dizzy spells and other symptoms. But all these symptoms were not associated with achondroplasia. Hence, the TLC star went to the doctor to learn the real reason behind his health issues. Trent discovered that something was wrong with his brain, and its size had shrunk. He was also waiting for the test results for the real diagnosis of his mystery illness.

Trent Johnston worried his followers in Season 15 about his mystery medical condition. He faced some challenges in his regular tasks. Hence, the TLC star went to doctors for the right diagnosis. Trent went for a consultation with his doctor and collected his MRI results. Unfortunately, he didn’t receive good news from the doctors.

The TLC star said, “The size of my brain, the diameter, the gap, the spacing between my brain and my skull has reduced at a faster rate.” He revealed that the size has reduced from what it should be at 47 years old. His brain’s size has become the size of an 80-81-year-old. However, the 7 Little Johnstons star couldn’t sit back and slow down.

Trent noted that the doctors had referred him to a neurologist as he showed early stages of Multiple Sclerosis(MS). Instead, Trent was ready for every new challenge life threw at him. Amber, on the other hand, was worried about her husband’s health. So, she wondered whether the symptoms set him up for higher chances of Dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Later, Trent went to an eye specialist and learned the actual issue behind his astigmatism. He learned about the irregularity of his cornea, which was affecting its shape. So, the doctors suggest the TLC star wear hard contact lenses to avoid distorted vision.
