Gone Without a Trace! Counting On Quietly Dropped From Streamer After Joe And Wife Kendra Both Arrested

COUNTING On has been removed from Discovery+ following the arrest of Joe and Kendra Duggar.

Fans slammed other streaming services, like Prime Video, for continuing to show the TLC series after Joseph, 31, was arrested for child molestation and Kendra, 27, for child endangerment and false imprisonment.

After the news broke, critics online slammed networks like Discovery+ and HBO Max for continuing to host episodes of Counting On and other Duggar shows after the arrests.

While none of the streamers addressed the controversy at this time, Counting On is no longer available on Discovery+.

The show also isn’t available on HBO Max.

Critical commenters on Reddit, however, noted that the show was still airing on Amazon Prime Video’s unscripted TV channel.

“They’re playing through the whole series I think. They’re on Season 10 Ep 3 right now. The last Ep they’re playing today in Season 10 Ep 10 – Grandma Duggar Remembered,” one commenter wrote. Another fan wrote, “I just checked the Discovery Plus app and it’s not there. If you look it up on the Roku app, it looks like it’s still available on Discovery Plus, but if you actually go to Discovery Plus it’s not there. “Prime shows a few random episodes that I bought back in the day, but says something about an expired license for other episodes that I didn’t buy.” A third commenter noted, “They must have just taken it down because the show was still on Discovery Plus when Joe was arrested.”

“Whoever is in charge of taking it down must feel like it’s Groundhog Day! I wonder if [they] are sat [there] thinking, ‘I’m sure I’ve had to take these off at least twice before, maybe just not bother putting them back next time?’” joked another commenter. Someone else pointed out, “It says it’s on but it’s actually little people big world now :(.” “Maybe Amazon saw the name trending and added it to the lineup,” joked a sixth Reddit user.

Joseph was arrested on March 18 by Tontitown Police in Arkansas on a warrant issued by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Bay County, Florida. He was taken into custody on charges stemming from a 2020 incident. Joseph was initially charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, including molestation of a victim younger than 12, and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 or older. He is being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl while on vacation in Florida. The victim, now 14, came forward with her father, who reportedly confronted Joseph about her allegations.

Police said of the victim’s claims, “As the vacation continued, [Joseph] also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket. “During this time, Joseph manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals. He would also continue to rub his hands on her thighs.” Authorities alleged that Joseph admitted to the allegations against him when confronted by the girl’s father.

He will be extradited to Florida to face charges there. Days later, he was also charged with child endangerment and false imprisonment.
