Fans have been following the aftermath of Joseph and Kendra Duggar’s recent arrests last month. Recently, news has come out that Kendra’s family has started a GoFundMe for financial help, which soon got an interesting update. This also comes out following Kendra mentioning a change for her family during a recent phone call.
Joseph & Kendra Duggar Are Both Facing Charges After They Were Arrested In March
Joseph and Kendra Duggar and the Duggar family first became introduced to many through various reality shows, like 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. Joe is the seventh child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Joe married Kendra, whose maiden name is Caldwell, in 2017, and they share four children together. Back in March, headlines had come out claiming that Joe was arrested over child molestation charges. This was in connection with a 2020 case in Florida.

Following this, Kendra was arrested in Arkansas. Around this time, news had come out that Joe was also facing further charges. Since this news had come to light, Kendra’s father, Paul Caldwell, appeared to have started a now-defunct GoFundMe page to help raise funds for his family. While the post did not specifically mention Kendra and Joe’s recent arrests, it did allude to raising money for legal fees. During the post, Paul shared, “My family is facing a difficult and urgent situation. We are in need of support to cover legal fees and secure safe housing. This has been an incredibly stressful time, and we are doing everything we can to protect ourselves and move forward.”
Kendra Previously Shared That Her Family Were Making A Big Move
Paul continued, “The funds raised will go directly toward legal representation to help us navigate the challenges ahead, as well as finding a safe place to live.” He also thanked supporters in advance, also asking patrons for their prayers, asking for “anything you can do is a help.” Notably, the post seems to have since been taken down.
Viewers may remember Paul for his appearances on Counting On. In addition to being Joseph Duggar’s father-in-law, he also served as a pastor for the Duggar family, having served the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Paul did not get into specifics during the post, especially concerning why the family needed legal representation. However, as noted by Parade, citing public records, Kendra and her spouse previously sold a property to her parents, Paul and Christina. This transaction, which was worth $10,000, took place in July 2021.
According to a jail phone call from March 25, Kendra previously shared that her family told her that they were moving out in a month. However, Kendra did not explain why her parents and siblings were moving out. During the call, she also shared that she currently doesn’t have custody of her children with Joe. This also comes out as fans had been following what appeared to be a feud between the Duggars and the Caldwells in recent years.
