‘Jay & Pamela’: Jay Makes a Bold Confession in First Look Wedding Moment (Exclusive Clip)
Ahead of the Jay & Pamela Season 1 finale, TLC shared an exclusive clip from the bride and groom’s “first look” wedding moment—and Jay made a bold declaration in the process.
Fans of the reality series will finally see Jay Manuel, 28, and Pamela Chavez, 30, say “I do” on April 22. The long-awaited nuptials come after navigating countless hurdles as a couple who share the same rare genetic disorder, osteogenesis imperfecta Type 3 (OI), resulting in more than 400 bone fractures between them.
After getting on hair, makeup and wedding attire, Jay and Pamela, who are electric wheelchair users, opted to get a first glimpse of each other before walking down the aisle.
“I’ll be in my tux, she’ll be in her dress, and we’ll do a reveal,” Jay explained in the exclusive clip. “It’s pretty cool and a pretty emotional moment.”
Meanwhile, Pamela shared, “I just got told that Jay is on his way to see me for the first time. My heart is racing, and I already have butterflies. I feel like everything’s going in slow motion like those romantic movies.”
In the clip, Jay then headed toward where Pamela waited for him for the first look.
“On my way to the bridal sweet, I am nervous because I was like, dang, what if I just start crying? ” he admitted. “And then I can’t see. And then I, like, run into something…My mind started going like a million places, honestly.”
As Jay rolled up to the door of the bridal suite, the suspense grew even more.
“I hear his chair!” Pamela gasped from the other side of the door before telling producers in a confessional, “I was really nervous for him to see me.”
Jay then declared, “I go in the suite, and the doors are closed, which really hypes up the moment even more. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh. Holy s–t!'”
Finally, the doors opened, and Jay and Pamela saw each other for the first time on their wedding day—which is where the exclusive clip ends.
To see how it all plays out on their big day, tune into the Jay & Pamela Season 1 finale on Tuesday, April 22 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC and streaming the next day on Max.
