The Bates family continues to grow, as members of the family keep fans updated about their lives on social media. Recently, one member of the family announced big news. Carlin Bates recently announced that she had given birth to her third child.
Carlin Bates & Stewart Previously Shared That They Were Expecting Their Third Child Back In February
Fans grew to learn about the Bates family through various reality shows. This includes UP TV’s Bringing Up Bates, which ran from 2015 to 2021 for ten seasons. On the show, fans got to meet Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, as well as their nineteen children. Following the show’s original run, members of the family have continued to share news with fans about their lives on social media. Recently, one member of the Bates family revealed a new member has been welcomed into the world.
Carlin is the ninth child of Gil and Kelly Jo, being their fifth daughter. In her personal life, she married Evan Stewart in 2019. Since then, they have welcomed a son, Zade, and a daughter, Layla, into the world. Back in February, Evan and Carlin announced that they were expecting their third child. At the time, it was noted that the baby was due in September. On September 10, 2025, Carlin shared the big news: her baby had arrived. As she wrote in a caption, “The world just got a little softer. Our baby is here.” Included in the post was a carousel of photos, showing the baby in Carlin’s arms as Evan looked on affectionately.

Taking to the comments, the family shared their congratulations and well-wishes over the happy news. Katie Clark, Carlin’s sister, shared, “Congratulations mama, you did amazing!” In a later comment, she also shared that she was a “proud auntie.” Zach Bates also shared, “You were absolutely amazing. So excited for guys, so proud!!!”
The post did not share too much information, including the baby’s name and gender. Previously, Evan and Carlin shared that they wanted to wait until the birth to know their baby’s gender. Fans also continued to send their love to the couple and their new baby on social media. In particular, fans were hoping for a few more updates, including a gender reveal, to come soon.
