When bad things happen, it’s nice when things can be a little more relaxed and lighthearted. This is exactly what Kelly Jo Bates did when she shared a big secret with fans. She wanted to answer a question that she’s been asked numerous times through DMs.
Kelly Jo went to social media to spill the tea on a particular curiosity of fans. Many have asked her what skincare products she uses to keep herself looking so young and refreshed. She revealed that she’s nearly 60 and the products she uses hydrate her skin well. Plus, it’s not just any old brand Kelly Jo uses. She uses her daughter Erin’s line of tallow products. Beef tallow has become a popular trend in the past several months, and Erin’s line is specially formulated using it. According to the Mayo Clinic, tallow is “a whiteish substance that is solid at room temperature. It’s made by removing, simmering, and clarifying the fatty tissue that surrounds the organs of ruminant animals.” It’s used in skincare, for cooking purposes, candles, and soap.

Bringing Up Bates matriarch Kelly Jo Bates went to Instagram to share her thoughts on her daughter’s skin care line.
