‘Counting On‘: Josh Duggar’s Controversial Attorney
Josh previously made headlines after it was revealed that he hired Beau Brindley as his attorney. According to Beau, it was only a one-time job for the Counting On alum. He once stated that Josh is broke, but he has no other choice, as he’s still a practicing attorney in Illinois.
Beau is considered a controversial choice due to his history of defending other personalities with similar crimes. One of them is R. Kelly, who’s currently serving time in prison for sex trafficking, bribery, and coercion. Beau revealed that Josh’s rights were violated, and he believes the court should reconsider its sentence. Beau insists that Josh sent his mail to the wrong address, resulting in complications with the court.

Josh Gets Shocking Update On New Hearing
Some Counting On fans on social media react to the latest update regarding Josh’s upcoming hearing. It was supposed to take place on March 4, 2026.
However, it was later moved to a new date, which is now April 15. Due to this, he requested a video-based hearing, though it seems it wasn’t approved by the court.

According to the files, the hearing will still be about the mail dispute between Josh and the court. But the poster believes Josha and his team will use it as an opportunity to make a point about his case, hoping to reduce his sentence. But many believe that Josh is now hopeless, especially with all the strong evidence against him.
- “Timothy l brooks and Joshua James Duggar. The men who battle to the end. Then go for overtime! Judge brooks is a trooper.”
- “I don’t understand why he needs a lawyer for this particular hearing. Also how can they prove when he mailed it? Are there security cameras near the prison mail room to capture s**t stain dropping off his large envelope?”
- “There’s not a post stamp, so it’s obvious someone dropped it off for him. But who? RimJob?”
- “Pest and his lawyer may think that the Judge might ultimately hear the entire motion down the road and Pest wants a lawyer for that. Also, even if the hearing is just about the mailing, Pest’s lawyer may want to prevent Pest from testifying or saying anything that could be used against him.”
