Audio of Karen Derrico Has Fans Stunned: ‘Don’t Make Me Regret Not Aborting You’
Karen Derrico, who was previously featured on TLC’s Doubling Down With the Derricos, has been charged with threatening her ex-husband, Deon Derrico, and their kids. Due to financial difficulties, the couple lived together for a while even after their divorce was finalized in 2024. Are you wondering what happened? Continue reading to learn more.
TMZ obtained audio of the “Doubling Down With the Derricos” star having a heated phone conversation with some of her 14 children. During the call, a child says, “No wonder why you said you were going to kill me.”
Karen denies that, and tries to correct the child, saying, “I said I’ll kill you if you piss me off … because you’re disrespecting me because your little behind is enabled.”
Karen Derrico Unhinged: Sends Threats To Kids
The intense conversation surfaced after Karen was arrested and charged with harassment, violating a restraining order, preventing a witness from testifying through threat of violence, and aggravated stalking.
Prosecutors claim that Karen sent multiple emails to her ex-husband, Deon, who shares 14 children with her, stating that she could kill him and didn’t care about going to jail. She also allegedly threatened to “kill any of the kids” who sided with Deon during their messy split and warned that she would kill Deon if he appeared at a court hearing related to the restraining order he filed against her.

Karen’s Attorney Unafraid
Karen’s attorney, Jess Marchese, describes the recording as an “Obvious attempt to bait my client. The recipient isn’t scared whatsoever. Total nothing burger. No crime.” Marchese previously addressed Karen’s charges, claiming that Deon sent the emailed threats to himself and made it appear as if they came from Karen to harm her case. He says they are working with tech experts to prove this.
Karen allegedly emailed Deon on May 2, telling him to “watch out” because she was going to “get a gun and/or will have someone kill him before he can go to court.” The emails placed Deon “in reasonable fear of death or substantial bodily harm,” authorities said. Karen entered a plea of not guilty at his arraignment on June 23. “The allegations are completely false,” her attorney Jess Marchese told Oxygen. And we will show they were all fabricated by Mr. Derrico.” Marchese also told TMZ that Karen was released on a $2,000 bond and an ankle monitor, and her next hearing is scheduled for August 6.
