Caldwell Family Member Breaks Silence — Slams Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Amid Joseph Charges

Amy Paul, an alleged friend of Kendra Duggar’s parents, Paul and Christina Caldwell, slammed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar for their treatment of the young woman and her family in the wake of Joseph Duggar’s sexual abuse scandal.

Paul shared a photo with Christina, 46, and two of her daughters as she called on the Duggars to stop “throwing stones” at the Caldwells.

“The Caldwells share [four] grandkids with Jimbob and Michelle. This is not the time to be throwing stones but it’s the time to rally around and support the victim and their family and Joe Duggar is 100% not the victim,” she captioned her Monday, April 13, Instagram post. “Pray for their daughter, Kendra to choose her kids and leave the (alleged) pedophile and have a relationship with her family.”

Paul continued, “The only emotion I have right now for the Duggars is disgust and disbelief.”

She went on to write that the 19 Kids and Counting alums “raised a son and he touched a prepubescent child and you are choosing to poison the daughter against her family.”

“Encourage Kendra to divorce Joe, focus on her kids and give her half the money, real estate etc. Don’t make her dependent on you, JimBob…like she’s not a grown woman! Don’t make her another Anna,” Paul added, seemingly referring to Anna Duggar, the wife of Josh Duggar. “Her family is there waiting with open arms!”

In Touch broke the story in May 2015 that Josh — who is currently behind bars on federal charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material — was named in an underage sexual abuse probe and accused of sexually molesting several minors, two of whom were later revealed to be his sisters, Jill and Jessa Duggar. As In Touch previously reported, Joseph was arrested last month and accused of molesting a minor during a family vacation in 2020.

“Not only were [the Caldwells] put in the awful situation of turning their son-in-law into the police because he wasn’t man enough to take accountability himself, but he’s also kicking them out of their house and giving them 30days to get out!” Paul continued. “The power and the water was turned off with 8 other kids living in the house!”

The Caldwells launched a GoFundMe earlier this month to raise money to “cover displacement expenses.”

“The displacement fees will be for moving expenses, housing costs such as rent until we can find a place to stay more permanently,” Paul shared on the fundraiser page.

As of publication, the family has raised more than $31,000.
